Curtis & Kristin
Thank you for taking the time to read our profile. Growing our family through adoption has already been one of the greatest blessings in our lives. Our home is filled with love, laughter, support, and encouragement, and we would be deeply grateful for the opportunity to welcome another child into our family. We have great respect and empathy for the journey you are on and truly appreciate you taking the time to learn about us.
Why We Chose Adoption

Adoption is something we often say chose us. We always knew we wanted a large family and trusted that however our family grew would be the path meant for us. When adoption became part of our journey, it quickly became one of the greatest gifts and joys we could ever imagine.
Our first experience adopting through the foster care system gave us a unique perspective on the many people whose lives are part of a child’s story. It helped us better understand the emotions, courage, and complexity that surround adoption. Because of that experience, we approach this journey with deep respect and empathy for everyone involved, especially the parents who may be reading our profile.
We recognize the strength and love it takes to consider adoption, and we want you to know that we honor that deeply. Our hope is to provide a home filled with love, stability, encouragement, and opportunity, where a child can grow, explore the world, and always know their story is valued and respected. For us, adoption is not just how our family grows, it is part of the heart of who we are.
Favorite Vacation Spot

We are fortunate to live close to several beautiful beaches and family-friendly resorts, so many of our favorite vacations involve spending time near the water. Our kids absolutely love swimming, splashing, and playing in the pool, especially when there are fun features like splash pads and water areas designed just for them.
Some of our favorite family trips are the simple ones where we can spend the day in the water, relax together, and enjoy being outside. Whether it’s swimming at the beach, playing in the sand, or spending the afternoon at a resort pool, those moments are always filled with laughter and excitement for the kids.
Our children also love exploring and playing outdoors, so vacations that allow them to run, swim, and experience nature are always the most memorable. For us, the best trips are the ones where we can unplug, enjoy time together as a family, and make lasting memories.
What Makes Me/Us Unique
One thing that makes us unique is our background and the experiences that have shaped who we are. Kristin is a social worker who works at one of the leading hospitals in the state, and Curtis owns his own business where he trains and speaks across the country. Curtis is also the author of three books focused on helping young people grow and succeed. Through our work, we spend a lot of time helping people navigate challenges, understand different perspectives, and find solutions.
Because of our careers, we have developed a strong ability to listen, empathize, and engage with people from many different backgrounds and viewpoints. We believe those skills help us create a home where children feel heard, understood, and supported.
We are also both strong advocates and problem-solvers. Whether in our professional lives or as parents, we believe in facing challenges with determination and compassion. Our children know that we will always stand beside them, encourage them to pursue their dreams, and help them overcome obstacles.
For us, being parents means creating a home where love, curiosity, empathy, and resilience are part of everyday life.

Our Extended Families

Family is a huge part of our lives, and we are grateful to be surrounded by people who are incredibly loving, supportive, and involved in our kids’ lives. One of our favorite traditions is what we call “Sunday Funday.” We put football on, fire up the grill, and have family over. The kids run around and play while everyone catches up, laughs, and enjoys spending time together. It’s one of those simple traditions that always turns into a great day.
Curtis’s parents spend a lot of time with the kids and have a very special bond with them. They often take them to the park, babysit, and love being part of their everyday lives. Curtis’s mom even teaches at their school, which makes it extra special for the kids to see their grandmother during the day.

When we adopted our children, our extended family showed incredible support in so many ways. They were some of our biggest cheerleaders throughout the entire journey and celebrated every step along the way. That same love continues today as they pour encouragement, attention, and affection into the kids.
Our families are thrilled that we are pursuing adoption again and are excited to welcome another child with open arms, lots of love, and plenty of Sunday Fundays.
Our House and Neighborhood

We live in Florida in a two-story home located in a quiet neighborhood with no through traffic, which makes it a peaceful and safe place for families. One of the things we love most about where we live is how much there is to explore right around us. Within walking distance, there are two parks and playgrounds where families gather and kids can run, climb, and play together. We are also just a short walk from a canal where manatees are often seen swimming by, which always feels like a special reminder of how unique Florida can be.
Our neighborhood is filled with families, and many of our neighbors have lived here for a long time. Because our street is somewhat tucked away, it creates a close-knit feeling where people naturally look out for one another. The kids often play outside, neighbors stop to chat, and there is a strong sense of community.
Just a short drive away, about ten minutes, are even more parks, playgrounds, movie theaters, restaurants, and children’s activities, along with a popular downtown area where families gather for events and outings. We feel incredibly fortunate to raise our family in a place where kids can play, explore, and grow up surrounded by both nature and a supportive community.
From Us to You

First, we want to thank you for taking the time to read our profile and learn a little about our family. We know that considering adoption is an incredibly personal and emotional journey. While we cannot fully understand everything you may be feeling, we want you to know that we deeply respect the courage, love, and strength it takes to even explore this path.
We are Curtis and Kristin, and we recently celebrated our eighth wedding anniversary. Over the years, our relationship has grown stronger than we ever imagined. We truly complement each other. Kristin is extremely organized, resilient, and solution-focused, while Curtis brings creativity, collaboration, and empathy into our home. As parents, we work together as a team. We listen to one another, provide structure for our family, and support each other through life’s challenges and joys. That balance has helped us build a loving and stable home.
Our children are currently in kindergarten and Pre-K, and they bring so much imagination, energy, and kindness into our lives. They love learning, playing outside, listening to music, and spending time together as a family. They are also incredibly excited about the possibility of welcoming another brother or sister into our home. Watching them grow and develop their own personalities has been one of the greatest gifts of our lives.
Our home is one that encourages curiosity, learning, and achievement, while also focusing deeply on emotional connection and understanding. We believe in raising children who are kind, empathetic, and resilient. We want them to feel confident exploring the world, pursuing their dreams, and knowing that they are always supported and loved.
Adoption is already an important part of our family’s story, and it has been one of the greatest blessings in our lives. Through our experience, we have learned how important it is to honor every part of a child’s story and the people who are part of it. We have experience maintaining relationships and staying connected with people who were part of our children’s lives before adoption. Because of that, we are very open to maintaining communication in ways that feel comfortable and meaningful.
We are committed to sending letters and pictures so you can see how the child is growing and thriving. We are also open to additional contact if that is something you would like, whether that means emails, phone calls, sharing milestones, or other ways of staying connected over time.
One of the most important things we want you to know is that a child will always understand their story. We will make sure they know that their birth mother did not abandon them or give up on them. Instead, they will know that their birth mother made a thoughtful and courageous decision rooted in love. Your role in their story will always be honored and respected in our home.
Our hope is that as the child grows, you will be able to see that they are loved deeply, supported fully, and given every opportunity to flourish. While we know this decision may be one of the most difficult you will ever make, we hope you can find peace in knowing that the child will grow up in a home filled with encouragement, laughter, stability, and unconditional love.
Thank you again for taking the time to learn about us. Whatever path you choose, we wish you strength, peace, and support on your journey.
With respect and gratitude,
Curtis & Kristin
